Our Story
The inspiration behind Exerpeutic Bike® first came when our founder, John Doe, struggled with staying active and losing weight after college. After trying various gym memberships and exercise regimens without success, John realized there had to be an easier and more accessible way to exercise.
He began researching exercise bikes and was disappointed by the limited options on the market. Most were either cheap and ineffective or overly complex and expensive machines made for hardcore cyclists.
John saw an opportunity to create something in between – a simple, affordable, yet highly effective exercise bike for the average person looking to get in shape in the comfort of their own home.
In 2008, John launched Exerpeutic Bike® out of his garage in Los Angeles. Our first product was the Exerpeutic 1000, an indoor recumbent bike made for all fitness levels. With its comfortable, ergonomic design and intuitive magnetic resistance system, the Exerpeutic 1000 became an instant hit with consumers looking for an easy way to pedal their way to better health.
Bolstered by the success of the Exerpeutic 1000, we continued to expand our engineering team and product lineup. Over the years, we pioneered new features like LCD displays, heart rate monitors, and adjustable seats to enhance the biking experience. We also introduced upright, semi-recumbent, folding, and low-impact exercise bikes to accommodate a wide range of users and fitness goals.
